Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether prepared from a series of chemical processing using natural cotton polymer material refined cotton as raw material. Surface activity: The aqueous solution of this product is surface-active, making it emulsifying, protecting the colloid and relative stability.
Thermal gelation: When heated above a certain temperature, the aqueous solution of this product can become opaque, resulting in precipitation and loss of solution viscosity. However, it gradually turns to its original solution after cooling down. The temperature at which condensation and precipitation occur depends on the type of product, the concentration of the solution, and the heating rate.
Low ash content: Because this product is non-ionic, it can be efficiently refined with hot water during the preparation process, so its ash content is very low.
PH stability: The viscosity of the aqueous solution of this product is relatively stable in the PH3.0-11.0 range.
Water retention effect: As this product is hydrophilic and its aqueous solution is highly viscous. It is added to mortar, gypsum, paint, etc. to maintain high water retention in the product.
Shape retention: Compared with other water-soluble polymers, this product's aqueous solution has special viscoelastic properties. Its addition has the ability to improve the shape of extruded ceramic products and the like.
Lubricity: Add this product can reduce friction coefficient and improve the lubrication of extruded ceramic products and cement products.
